Bringing expertise together is not enough if information remains fragmented. DOCTORIAA OS™ is the open, sovereign infrastructure on which MDT and POOL are built. It is designed to support new medical applications and connect existing healthcare software, laboratory systems and medical devices.
A laboratory result, an image and a specialist’s opinion become more meaningful when they form part of the same medical history. DOCTORIAA OS™ brings fragmented information together, putting the patient back at the centre and helping professionals build a coherent approach to their care.
DOCTORIAA OS™ is designed to connect to systems that already exist rather than replace them. It exposes REST and FHIR interfaces, the standards healthcare software is converging on, so that hospital information systems, laboratory platforms and national health exchanges can be integrated where local rules and accreditations allow. The same applies to DHIS2, the health information platform many ministries of health rely on, from West Africa to South-East Asia.
Integration work is real work. What an open, standards-based foundation changes is that this work is done once, against a documented interface, instead of being rebuilt for every new connection.
The point of all this connecting is simple: expertise should reach the patient, wherever the patient happens to be.
This connection depends on trust: patients’ trust in how their information is used, physicians’ trust in the support they receive, and institutions’ trust that they retain control of their data. Openness does not mean unrestricted access. Our infrastructure is designed to preserve data sovereignty, govern access and make exchanges traceable, without requiring a single central database.
